1915

Thomas Arthur Ray became agent for Rockwell Edward Valves. Today known as Flowserve Edward Valves.

1921

Ray Engineering Company was formed by Thomas Arthur Ray on Milk Street in South Boston.

Mid 1940's

Ray Engineering moved to 287 Congress Street, Boston, MA

1946

  • Ken Ray joined Ray Engineering Company.
  • Ray Engineering started selling and still does sell Flexitallic Gaskets.

Late 1940's

Bert Ray Joined Ray Engineering for a short time period

1948

Ted Ray joined Ray Engineering Company

1949

Ray Engineering was Incorporated in the State of Massachusetts

Early 1970's

Ray Engineering Moved to South Street, Boston, MA

1977

Thomas E. Ray joined Ray Engineering as the THIRD generation

1983

Ray Engineering moves from South Boston to Burlington MA.

1986

Phyllis Ray joined Ray Engineering Company.

1987

Ray Engineering signs on with HBE Engineering.

1992

Bill Ray joined Ray Engineering as the FOURTH generation.

1993

Ray Engineering moves from Burlington, MA to Boxborough, MA.

1993

Dan Boudillion joins Ray Engineering.

1996

Todd Ray joined Ray Engineering as the 2nd fourth generation

2002

Ray Engineering moves from Boxborough, MA to our current location in Westford, MA.

2003

Getting into Biomass, Ray Engineering signs up with Rader for wood handling equipment. Rader would be bought by Jeffrey, which was then all bought by TerraSource Global.

2004

Ray Engineering makes a move from Sterling DA to the Crane Environmental Company.  Known as Crane Water, selling DA’s and water treatment.  Today they go by “Cochrane by Newterra”.

2005

Ray Engineering signs on with Wahlco, Inc. out of Santa Ana, CA with Aqueous & Anhydrous Ammonia systems plus urea to ammonia systems (U2A)

2006

  • Ray Engineering rejoins the fan industry with a return to Twin City Clarage.
  • Marlon Leavitt is hired as the Northern New England outside sales man.
  • Thomas Ray retires after 28 years.
  • Ray Engineering changes Heat exchanger companies to Yuba Heat Transfer, which shortly after added Ecolaire condensers.  Today, they are owned by SPX Heat Transfer.
  • Phyllis Ray joins Thomas gladly in retirement after 20 years.

2007

Ray Engineering signs up with Diamond Power International and Allen Sherman Hoff.

2008

  • Jack Mulone was hired to bolster our inside sales especially with Diamond Power and Allen Sherman Hoff (ASH).
  • Lisa Maniatis was hired as administrative assistant.

2008

  • Jack Mulone was hired to bolster our inside sales especially with Diamond Power and Allen Sherman Hoff (ASH).
  • Lisa Maniatis was hired as administrative assistant.

2011

Ray Engineering starts working with Arcor Epoxy, Inc.

2012

Ray Engineering signs on to represent wet cooling towers with EvapTech and shortly after adding Evapco-BLCT, dry cooling, to complete the Evapco Power portfolio.

2014

Ray Engineering now represents Global Power – Braden Manufacturing and Consolidated Fabricators line of gas turbine inlet and exhaust systems.

PowerPhase becomes part of the Ray Engineering companies represented. 

2016

  • Ray Engineering signs on with Integra Services for in field machining of flanges, pipe cutting & beveling, torqueing and tensioning of studs along with other specialty in field services.
  • Ray Engineering expands its coverage into eastern NY and Northern NJ, hiring Scott Herland to cover this new territory.
  • Kelvion (formally GEA Heat Transfer) is added as a new line selling plate and frame heat exchangers and finfan coolers.

2019

  • Ray Engineering signs up with Zeeco to add burner, scanner, igniter line.
  • Ray Engineering also signs on with Lisega for pipe hangers and supports.
  • Ray Engineering signs up with GSM Industrial for custom heavy duty fabrication.
  • Ray Engineering lastly signed up Filter Assist for gas turbine inlet filters and installation.

2020

  • Ray Engineering signs on with Fox Equipment.

2021

Ray Engineering becomes a representative of American Exchanger Services.

 

2022

Ray Engineering now represents Nooter Eriksen.

 

2023

Ray Engineering signs with ThermoPhase as a representative.

Marlon Leavitt retires after 17 years with Ray Engineering Co.

 

2024

Ray Engineering is representing IRR. 

Ray Engineering has become a Duchting representative.
